Own Film Treatment

The Exploit

Ryan Aaron and myself have created a 2 minute opening scene of an action genre film. We recorded in central Leatherhead along the river which gave the sense of urban and rural at the same time. This area was perfect as it was quiet, and so the deal at the beginning was not being over viewed by anyone else as the gang members would not wanted people listening in. Also having it along the river made it great for capturing a chase scene as there were lots of obstacles and maneuvers that had to take place, so there was a variety of different shots.

We have added a flash back to our opening two minutes to show what had previously happened before the chase scene had actually started.

The first two scenes were a combination of what had happened after the fight scene as this was where Ryan who is the villain and Aaron the Hero started walking away. We then had the last of these two scenes fade out and then the flash back which faded in. Now this is the part and reason of the story. The two Villains, myself and Ryan, are doing a deal with one another. I have a CD which has some files on and he hands over a briefcase which actually has nothing in there. Once I find out that there is nothing in there that's when it all kicks off. I hit Ryan around the head with the case and then punch him. Then he pulls the gun out and shoots me. He picks up the suitcase and now has both that and the CD. While all this was happening Aaron had been watching the whole thing right from the top of the staircase which Ryan had walked down.

Once all of this flashback has happened we then fade in the second scene which was at the begining and carry on in present time. This is where the chase scene starts. Soon Ryan notices that Aaron is following him and then they start running along the bridge in the centre of the town. They run accross the road into an alley and this is then where the river has burst its banks and this is then where the stand off is. Aaron has his gun pulled out and then Ryan pretends to put the bag down and his hands up when acctually he quickly pulls his Gun out. Aaron shouts at him to put his gun down and Ryan chuckles and says like wise.

Now the screen has gone black and all we hear is a gun shot and the bullet dropping. We decided to leave it at a cliff hanger so that the audience had to guess what was going to happen next and if and who somone just got shot.
